Hot Dog Eating--A Sport? ESPN Just Did A "30 For 30" On It

It's weigh in day ahead of tomorrow's annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island. The top eaters will hit the scales today during a ceremony at the Empire State Building.

Top men's eater Joey Chestnut is looking to clinch his 12th mustard belt along the Coney Island boardwalk tomorrow. He scarfed down a record 74 Hot Dogs last year. Miki Sudo looks to defend her title for the women's group.

Ahead of the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island, ESPN's "30 For 30" profiles the competitors, including Chestnut, who's going for his 12th Mustard Belt. When he came here, he was eating something altogether different.. Indian Tacos at Wind Creek Casino in Atmore.

And he lost.

Joey was a really nice guy to talk to, when he stopped by the studio before the Wind Creek competition. And yes, these competitions do a number on his body.

He's developed his own workout regimen, which he shared with ESPN.

It's almost as hard to watch as the competition itself.
