An Alabama teenager has created an uproar after taking a selfie at the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp. Maybe it's the photo, or maybe it's just the lighthearted nature of a "selfie" in a place that saw so much evil; but the selfie is not sitting well with a lot of people. And they've let her know it.
18-year-old Breanna Mitchell of Roanake, AL, seems to take the criticism and negative comments in stride, telling al.com: "Half the time I don't even read them. There's some I do read, but I say 'whatever.' These people will never see me in their lives."
Check out the selfie below. Was this appropriate?
UPDATE: A quick glance at her Twitter feed leads us to think she may be feeling bad about this and has endured enough. Hopefully, people will lay off.
