During the spring and summer, sea turtles lay their eggs along our Gulf coast beaches. In nature, they'd normally be drawn back to the water after hatching. But thanks to electricity, it's easy to get confused. That's where the "Share the Beach" program comes in, as explained by this al.com story.
On Saturday, we had the chance to end a day at the beach in Gulf Shores by watching their work, and see the turtles make their way to the water -- with a little help from their friends.
