The Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama's Young Professional’s Committee is hosting The 0.5K Pub “Run” & Block Party, a “run” for the rest of us to support BBBSSA's mission.
Participants will begin at Moe’s BBQ in downtown at 10:30 a.m. “Runners” get beer along the route for an energy boost and coffee and a sweet treat at the halfway point. We understand a 0.5K can be tough! Local bands will be set up along the way to keep you motivated too.
All registered "runners" will also receive a 0.5K car sticker and participation sweat/head band, and swag bag full of goodies to show off to your friends. "Runners" get an additional free drink ticket to use after the “run” at participating bars and restaurants along Dauphin Street. Dauphin Street, from N Cedar Street to N. Washington Street, will be closed until 12:30 for the Block Party. The 0.5K Pub "Run" and Block Party is family and pet friendly!!
VIP "Runners" will receive everything along the path, a drink ticket, swag bag, a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar, and red beans and rice and cornbread from Moe's.
Register yourself and your underachieving friends and family members today! Training regimes will be posted "runners". In order to receive beer along the route, you must bring a valid photo ID to the "race".
Pub "Runner" registration is $25.
VIP "Runner" registration is $50.
