Saturday Night Live is canceling this week's original musical guest performance after he broke the show's coronavirus protocols. Country music star Morgan Wallen sparked controversy after he was seen partying without a mask and breaking social distancing ahead of his performance.
The "This Bar" singer took to Instagram to say that his actions were "short-sighted" and that he will be taking time away to work on himself.
Wallen also said the show's long-time producer Lorne Michaels spoke to him about possibly having him on the show at a later date.
