Over the past 10 years, Downtown Mobile has become a true dining destination, featuring more than 50 restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisine and atmosphere. Nearly all have survived the worst of the pandemic. However, even before the state COVID restrictions and mandates were lifted, our downtown restaurants struggled to find employees at every level of operation. Now that more customers are comfortable dining either outside or in, the problem has only gotten worse. The Downtown Mobile Alliance is inviting anyone interested in the many opportunities in the food and beverage industry to attend the Job Fair. Several downtown eateries will be set up in the square to answer questions and take applications. Participants will also be able to sample dishes from some of the area’s best restaurants.
