I saw this on a crime drama one time and I try to remember it every time I'm on hold-- you may not hear them, but they may be hearing you!

There's a quick way to tell. And this TikToker (@yourdailydoseoflifehacks) explains it simply.

When a call center puts you on hold AND YOU DON'T HEAR MUSIC, it means you're on MUTE... and they can hear every word you say, good or bad. And everything you're doing.

You're mentally going over every time you've ever been on hold and you're probably mortified right now, aren't you?
