This may be one of the coolest incentives to get a COVID-19 vaccination or test. Those who participated in the drive-thru COVID-19 clinic at Talladega Speedway Saturday got to take a couple of laps in their own cars or trucks!
They called it Race To End COVID: Talladega, and they gave fans the opportunity to join the race by getting a FREE COVID-19 test and/or vaccine and enjoying an exclusive opportunity to drive two laps around Talladega Superspeedway.
The event allowed attendees to follow behind a pace car at "highway speed" as they took their laps around the longest oval track in NASCAR.
No word on how many took part in #RaceToEndCOVID.
