80 Yearbook Photos Altered To Cover Up Cleavage

Imagine getting your yearbook and discovering that your photo has been digitally altered, because the teacher in charge of the yearbook thought you were showing too much cleavage.

That happened to 80 students...girls... at Bartram Trail High School in St. Johns County, Florida. And none of the students or their parents were notified about the tweaks.

Basically, the yearbook coordinator decided they were violating the district's dress code, so she altered the photos.

And to add insult to injury, she didn't do a very good job with photoshop or whatever program she was using. It led to some of the kids being ridiculed.

Previously, those deemed inappropriate would have been left out of the book entirely.

The other twist to this story? She left in the photos of boys wearing speedos at the pool. She only edited the portrait photos.

It's not the first time the school has made news over dress code violations.

The students took their complaints to the St. Johns County School Board after the yearbook controversy made national news. Some were wearing the same outfits they wore when they had their photos made.

The school board says it will create a committee to review the dress code and suggest possible changes. One board member says the district needs to be flexible to respond to changing times and changing culture.
