Being a bridesmaid can be expensive. The dress, travel, showers, bachelorette party, etc.
A TikToker named Lisa responded to a post from a bridesmaid who said she didn’t realize being a bridesmaid would cost three paychecks and every second of her paid-time-off for the year.
Lisa's solution? A transparency letter. She gave it to all her potential bridesmaids when she asked them to be part of her wedding.
It outlined time and money commitments, such as who pays for what and how many events the bridesmaid was expected to attend.
And most important? The letter lets the potential bridesmaid know that it's ok to say no and still be friends.
