And I don't just mean cleaning out coat pockets and old suitcases. Make sure nothing's hiding in your furniture either!
A Colorado family accidentally donated their cat, which was hiding inside an old recliner.
Denver Animal Protection got a call from the Arc Thrift Store after workers found the feline. They checked the microchip, but it hadn't been updated.
The family realized their cat was missing and went back to the thrift store, who sent them to the shelter where they were reunited.
