Remember Starla, Alabama's 2014 Champion Child for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals?
Look at her go now!! She's a contestant on Master Chef Jr this Thursday night (March 17) on FOX!
Starla Chapman battled acute myeloid leukemia when she was just a toddler. And her mom DeAndra shared her story with us in 2012 for the USA Children's & Women's Hospital Radiothon on Mix 99.9.
Starla told her mom "Just Trust" and that became the battle cry of her supporters, with t-shirts and bracelets (one of which was famously worn by A.J. McCarron when Alabama played in the BCS National Championship game that year.)
Fast forward to today and Starla is a healthy middle school student with a passion for cooking. She was an IHOP Kid Chef at 9 and now she's competing on Master Chef Junior with Gordon Ramsey.
Sounds like a plan!
