The National Park Service has jokes when it comes to bear safety.
Did you see their tweet last week? "If you come across a bear, never push a slower friend down…even if you feel the friendship has run its course."
OK, then. And at that point they went into serious advice on what to do if you encounter a bear.
But those who fear they might be the slower friend continued the thread, asking the Park Service for friendship advice. Bottom line? "Check in on the friendship" before heading into the woods.
