The Wallflowers will bring their Bringing Down the Horse 30th Anniversary Tour to the Pensacola Saenger Theatre on Sunday, August 2, 2026. The nationwide run celebrates the band’s landmark 1996 album Bringing Down the Horse, with the group performing the record in its entirety and in sequence each night. Originally released May 21, 1996, the album became a defining statement of ’90s rock—peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200 and earning quadruple-platinum certification.
Fans in Pensacola can expect a full-album performance featuring the era-defining singles “6th Avenue Heartache,” “One Headlight,” “The Difference,” and “Three Marlenas.” “One Headlight” reached #1, won two Grammy Awards, and remains one of the most enduring tracks of its generation, while the other singles earned major Grammy recognition and helped cement the album’s legacy. The tour also honors another milestone in American rock, as The Wallflowers pay tribute to Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers by performing Petty’s 1982 album Long After Dark in full and in sequence. Led by chief songwriter Jakob Dylan, the band continues to be a vital live act, with Dylan’s wide-ranging collaborations, soundtrack work, and decades-long career underscoring The Wallflowers’ lasting place in American rock.
