Fitbit Leads to Man's Arrest for Murdering His Wife

OK, it's not exactly a reason to rush out and buy a Fitbit, but this story is like something out of CSI or NCIS crime shows.

Richard Dabate told Connecticut police a masked intruder broke into his home, tied him up and tortured him, then shot and killed his wife Connie, when she came home.

That story fell apart when investigators got the report from Connie's Fitbit.... she had walked way too many steps for his story to be true.

Not exactly a benefit they'll be advertising ... but definitely important in this instance.  And a new took for law enforcement.... if, of course, it's worn on a regular basis.  Something to think about while you're tracking your steps....
