EXPLORE MOBILE- Sun 2pm-7pm, corner of S Royal & Church St, near Mardi Gras Park, downtown Mobile

Enjoy music, food, activities, as well as admission to the city’s tourist attractions. Keeping with the mission and vision of the Alabama Bicentennial Commission, Explore Mobile event seeks to celebrate the 2017 theme of “Exploring our Places” here in Mobile. Attendees will be able to explore 300 years of Mobile History inside the History Museum of Mobile, experience Colonial life inside the walls of the Colonial Fort of Mobile, gaze upon the period rooms of the Conde-Charlotte Museum House, step back in time as they navigate the Dora Franklin Finley African-American Heritage Trail and more!  CLICK HERE  

 

 

FIESTA OF FIVE FLAGS-The Fiesta of Five Flags was formed to celebrate the founding of Pensacola. In 1559, Spanish Conquistador, Don Tristan de Luna, established Pensacola as the first European settlement in the United States.

FIESTA BOAT PARADE- Sat 1pm

The parade of over 25 marine vessels will start at the mouth of the Bayou Chico Bridge and will make its way to the Quietwater Boardwalk on Pensacola Beach. CLICK HERE   

The community is encouraged to join the procession of boats escorting Don Tristan DeLuna’s yacht to the shores of Pensacola Beach where he will be welcomed by Chief Mayoki, his Queen, White Dove, and tribe at the DELUNA LANDING CEREMONY.   CLICK HERE   

 

 

MOBILE BAYBEARS BASEBALLSun 5:05pm, Hank Aaron Stadium, Mobile

The BayBears kick off their series with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos with Sunday Funday and Bark in the Park, with iHeart Radio.  Kids can play catch on the field before the game and run the bases after the game. And you can bring your well-behaved dog to the park!  CLICK HERE

BLUES ON THE BAY CONCERT SERIES with EMERALD COAST BLUES BROTHERS- Sun 6pm-8pm, Community Maritime Park, Pensacola

When the Emerald Coast Blues Brothers take the stage June 4th they, like their movie counterparts, will be helping to raise money to save a program helping children. But in this instance it will be a local middle school instead of an orphanage in Chicago. Blues Angel Music Foundation will be taking donations to help the students of J.H. Workman Middle School after a fire destroyed a portable that housed their orchestra program, last Saturday. Instruments totaling $20,000 along with sheet music and several personal instruments of students were destroyed.   CLICK HERE

GRANDMAN TRIATHLONSat 7am, Fairhope Municipal Pier

Racers jump off Fairhope Pier into Mobile Bay and swim 1/3-mile to the shore. Then they bike 18.6 miles through the streets of downtown Fairhope and the rolling countryside. Racers conclude the race with a 3.1-mile run.. Proceeds benefit Mobile Baykeeper, myTeam Triumph: Southern Alabama, and Delta Bike Project.  CLICK HERE
