This is a love affair that's been going on for a long time--
Ever wonder what makes popcorn pop?
Inside each kernel of corn is a tiny droplet of water surrounded by a hard shell called a hull. As the popcorn is heated, the water turns into steam pressure. When the hull can no longer contain the pressure the kernel explodes to create a piece of popcorn. #NationalPopcornDay pic.twitter.com/Y9CG5fo05L— David Domoney (@daviddomoney) January 18, 2018
And while we all love popcorn, Butter is by far our favorite kind--
I'm a traditionalist... I like buttered popcorn. But I can't resist caramel corn.
Just remember to celebrate #NationalPopcornDay responsibly--
Even though it's #NationalPopcornDay it's still not ok to burn your microwave popcorn in the office.— Dashley Driveby (@DashleyDriveby) January 19, 2018
