Some people are just plain creeped out by an apparent glitch in Amazon's Alexa.
It's laughing. A creepy laugh. Out of the blue. In the middle of the night, even.
Are you kidding me??? Amazon says they're working on it
I live alone and have lights controlled by Amazon Echo. Tonight, while sleeping, i closed my eyes and said “Alexa, lamp off.”— Vedant Naik (@vedantNAIK) March 4, 2018
I heard a woman laugh, and lights were still on.
Now, I know that stupid device heard “laugh” instead of “lamp off”, but I can’t sleep anymore..... #fml
This has all the makings of a great Sci-Fi/ horror movie that will have us all hearing voices ...and that laugh... in our sleep. That is, if we can get to sleep!
Lying in bed about to fall asleep when Alexa on my Amazon Echo Dot lets out a very loud and creepy laugh... there’s a good chance I get murdered tonight.— Gavin Hightower (@GavinHightower) February 26, 2018
Replying bc THIS creepy thing happened last night: we got home and, totally unprompted, our Amazon Echo/Alexa started talking. And then i realized it was listing off local cemeteries and funeral homes??? I'd rather it laugh at me tbh— Kamo Boomin (@HeyItsKamo) March 7, 2018

Journal Entry of Cmdr Kendrick Degaton
Most of the people who were alive in Zero Year are dead. In the camps, oral tradition keeps the story of First Attack alive, cause there are no eyewitnesses.
They speak of an entity called "Alexa." Then a laugh. Then death. pic.twitter.com/LnE42LwyDx
