Let's be honest. Tipping has been an issue for a long time. If you have to have a calculator to do it right, and a list of who gets tipped and who doesn't, it's too complicated.
That may be one reason that millennials aren't that good at it. Or maybe they don't have the money.
And they may just kill the whole concept.
My thought? It's about time. Even though there are times I really WANT to tip a server, most of the time they don't go out of their way to earn anything "extra"... which is what we've been taught that a tip is. Unfortunately, it's not. It's how they get paid.
So let's just pay them by the hour like other jobs and get on with our lives.
