Three inches of rain fell on Mobile Wednesday afternoon... flooding streets downtown and Midtown, including Dauphin St, Ann St and the aptly named Water Street.
Lots of people tried to push through the water. Some of them had to be pulled out by tow trucks.
Others saw an opportunity to use their kayaks or canoes to get around.
While that's not advisable (if cars are still trying to get through), there probably isn't exactly a law against paddling on city streets.
This was paddler Jeff DeQuattro's view yesterday--
(And we still have a flash flood watch in effect through this evening, so we could have more of this today.)
