Quitting Made Easy

You may find yourself looking for a way out of a job - if not now, some time in the future. It's a lot like breaking up, especially if you think that you may be easily swayed into staying, or you don't like confrontation. And being passive aggressive isn't easy on a post-it note.

I Quit

Enter "Exit" (yes, I know that's confusing). This company in Japan does all of the dirty work for you.

For the tidy sum of $450,  Exit will contact your boss (and HR department) to let them know you're bailing out, and they'll even get the paperwork started for you.

Exit says most of their clients are in their 20s and 30s, and the main reasons they want someone to quit for them are they're afraid their bosses will try to talk them into staying - or they're just too nervous to do it themselves. (See? Just like ending any other relationship.)

As of now, there's NO equivalent to Exit in the United States. I'd be surprised if someone doesn't jump on this idea and start a similar company here - once they quit their current job.
