The Colin Kaepernick ad for Nike has generated plenty of controversy. In Kenner, Louisiana, the city government has banned the purchase or use of Nike products at its recreational facilities because of it. Meanwhile, a pastor at Woodridge Baptist Church in Mobile cut up some Nike gear from the pulpit.
But beyond the controversy, I am happy to report that the ad has also generated some fun memes.
I'll start with my absolute favorite!

Personally, I enjoyed some of the memes involving dogs.
Sports took a hit, too. Especially the Atlanta Falcons, who are still getting mocked by New Orleans Saints fans for blowing a 25-point lead in the Super Bowl against New England. So there's this: "Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing a 25-point lead."
Huge fan of the new Nike campaign. pic.twitter.com/ZCkoh55S3k— J.O'B (@chanceig) September 5, 2018
