Geoffrey Owens, who was once a regular on the Cosby Show, was recently job-shamed by a couple of media outlets (I'm looking at you, Daily Mail and Fox News Channel) for working at a grocery store. For most of us, though, honest work is nothing to be ashamed of. Especially when acting jobs are rarely regular. Online reaction was swift, and Geoffrey also went on Good Morning America to inspire us all about being proud of the work we do, whatever that is (see video below).
Now he's accepted a job offer on NCIS: New Orleans, his second acting job in a week.
Entertainment Weekly says Geoffrey Owens will play Commander Adams, "an old and valued friend of Pride's," played by Scott Bakula. It's a one-episode deal, but that's often the business. Fortunately, he was also offered and accepted a 10-episode run on Tyler Perry's OWN series The Haves and the Have Nots.
