Southern Hospitality for Senior Citizens Fleeing The Storm

When you think about evacuating ahead of a storm, you usually think about getting just your family to safety.

But what about those living in retirement homes or assisted living?

The staff of Somerby in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina gathered medical equipment and supplies in U-Haul trailers and loaded nearly 100 senior citizens on a bus to Fairburn, Georgia.

Why? Some of them had evacuated there before and liked the way they were treated.

You'll love the way they're being treated during THIS storm.

Fairburn police asked the community to help with supplies and board games, to make them feel at home. And they're offering free shuttle service to the grocery store, drug store...even church services.

God bless this town!
