The crimes of serial rapist and murderer Ted Bundy are being revisited this week, as a new movie about him premieres at Sundance. The film, "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile," stars Zac Efron as Bundy.
But the Zac Efron movie isn't the only reason Ted Bundy is trending. Director Joe Berlinger also has a new Netflix documentary (Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes) in which he talks about his time in Pensacola, where he was caught in 1978.
The police had no idea who they had just arrested with a stolen car.
Bundy maintained his innocence for years before confessing to 30 homicides. Some experts think the number is closer to 100. Bundy was executed in Florida's electric chair in 1989.
Here are the trailers for both movies---
