Movie Shoots Concert Scene At USS Alabama Battleship

Driving home on the Causeway Friday, I thought I had missed an event for Best Bets.

There was a huge tent at the entrance to the Battleship and a concert stage set up on the grass. A really nice big professional kind of stage.

Turns out, there WAS a concert, but it wasn't open to the public. It was a scene in the movie "I Still Believe" which has been filming in Mobile.

The movie is about Christian singer Jeremy Camp (played by K.J. Apa of "Riverdale"). Britt Robertson plays Camp's wife Melissa, who died from cancer shortly after they were married. Gary Sinise and Shania Twain also have roles in the film.

IMDB has this synopsis: The true-life story of Christian music star Jeremy Camp and his journey of love and loss that looks to prove there is always hope.

Camp talks about that in the announcement for the movie, back in March. The title of the movie comes from the title of his song. Scroll down for both videos.
