A Santa Story, Sort Of: Man Gets Stuck Going Down A Chimney

This story could not have happened at a better time than during the holiday season. A man in Tucson literally got stuck in a chimney and had to be rescued by firefighters. A local TV station says that neighbors reported a man yelling for help from inside the home and called 911. As you can see by the photo (below), he almost made it. Firefighters pulled him up and out of the chimney with a rope and rescue ring. The fire department said the man told them he'd been stuck for hours.

The good news is that this would-be Santa Clause was unharmed. The bad news (at least for him) is that he was handed over the the police, charged with trespassing and possession of a dangerous drug.

And because everything in life seems to have already happened in The Simpsons, I really need you to see the calendar on my office wall. It's one that a radio friend of mine has sent to me every year for nearly two decades.

Yes, Santa Homer has already done this.
