When we were kids, Christmas Eve seemed like the longest day ever. But there were a couple of things we did to pass the time.
We watched "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" on The Big Show with Max Goodman on WKRG TV 5. It was awful, but we watched it every year.
Then, we started following Santa with the NORAD Santa Tracker, so we knew Santa was coming (and we needed to be in bed!)
NORAD is still tracking Santa, but it's a lot more high tech than when we were kids...
The North American Aerospace Defense Command Santa Tracker will follow Santa's journey online You can also call NORAD to get a live report on the jolly fellow's whereabouts. That phone number, by the way, is 1-877-HI-NORAD.
The agency says the tradition started in 1955 after a child mistakenly called NORAD's predecessor looking for Santa.
