It wasn't until AFTER DeWayne Crocker Jr got his golden ticket to Hollywood that the fun began on American Idol.
His great grandmother said she HAD to see Lionel Richie. Why? Because she and her husband first met, dancing to "Lady.' And "Lady" was playing when they walked down the aisle.
As she put it, "If it hadn't been for you, they wouldn't have been here" --- pointing to her daughter and grandson. She even mentioned seeing him with the Commodores, back in his club days.
So you know Lionel had to sing a bit of his song and dance with this spunky 78-year-old in her 6 inch heels.
We may watch Idol for the singers, but it's the moments like this that we love the most!
