Drowsy? Take a Nap... or a Nappuccino!

Welcome to Daylight Saving Time.....which most of us greet with a great, big yawn.

Changing the way we sleep, even if it's only one hour, makes a physical difference.

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine says it can reduce daytime alertness. It can also increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.

Driving tired can be just as dangerous as driving drunk. Road safety can be even more of an issue after the clocks change for Daylight Saving Time, as people try to adjust to disrupted sleep patterns.

Experts recommend trying to maintain a healthy sleep cycle by minimizing exposure at night to light from electronic devices and avoiding coffee and alcohol before going to bed.

Or you could just take a nap.

The Monday after the start of DST is #NationalNappingDay. And if you're afraid that won't be enough to energize you, take a caff nap (best name ever-- nappuccino!)
