Walmart Is Making Their Aisles One-Way

I find myself going in circles at the grocery store lately. Why? Because Publix has marked their aisles one way, with an arrow or an X, in an effort to enforce social distancing.

And inevitably, the item I'm looking for is on the aisle that has an X. So I go up the next aisle, turn around, and come back down the aisle I want. (Much like navigating the one-way streets downtown, LOL!)

Now Walmart is going directional with THEIR aisles. But their labels are a bit more direct. Each aisle will be marked with either a green sign saying "Shop This Way" or a red sign with the words "Do Not Shop This Way."

Officials say it will help shoppers maintain more space between themselves and other customers.

I think they're overly optimistic that people will follow those directions. Have you seen the way people DON'T follow the arrows in the parking lot?

But they're trying. And there are other measures they're taking as well. Earlier this week, Walmart began requiring employees to wear face masks on the job.
