Mannequins for Social Distancing?

Is this a brilliant, creative solution to the empty spaces caused by social distancing? Or "a horror film waiting to be made?"

The Inn at Little Washington in Virginia (which has 3 Michelin stars) was getting ready to open at 50% capacity and had emailed customers of their plans to fill the empty seats with mannequins and even have waiters pouring wine for them. (That's creepy.)

Then the governor decided the first phase would just be outdoor dining.

So, the mannequin plan is on hold. For now.

Oh, and the owner also plans to use Marilyn Monroe and George Washington masks, for an added touch.
