Good news for Escambia and Santa Rosa counties! Just in time for Memorial Day, the state has approved their plan to allow short-term vacation rentals. That's especially important for areas like Perdido Key, where there are no hotels, only short-term rentals.
There are restrictions on who they can rent to, based on what area the vacationers are coming from and the COVID-19 case rates there.
There are also enhanced cleaning requirements.

And a reminder, this Memorial Day Weekend will look different on the beaches because of social distancing. No weekend events on Pensacola Beach, and extra law enforcement & lifeguards will be patroling, to make sure beachgoers are complying.
