Could Be A Busy Hurricane Season

This upcoming Atlantic hurricane season is expected to be a busy one with additional challenges caused by the coronavirus. Like maintaining social distancing at shelters, in the event of a storm.

And it looks like we could get a few.

NOAA's Climate Prediction Center is forecasting an above average 2020 Atlantic Hurricane season.

What does that mean?

-13 to 19 named storms (We've already had one of those, Tropical Storm Arthur. And the season doesn't officially start til June 1st)

-6 to 10 of which could become hurricanes

-3 to 6 major hurricanes

Officials say they know most of us are thinking about reopening amid the Coronavirus, while staying safe and healthy... but we also need to be prepared for storms.
