A news story this week brought back memories....
Remember the scene in "The Goonies" when they find a wishing well and Mouth wants to take back all the coins he put in, because his wishes didn't come true?
Or here's one from way back... when Fred Sanford goes to Vegas, loses all his money, then lands in jail when he tries to get his quarter back from a casino wishing well and falls in?
Here's the story...
A thirty-foot waterfall full of wishes is now sitting dry in a North Carolina town. The aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores drained all the water to get 100 gallons of coins.
It took 14 years to collect that much, but the money is now needed to help care for the animals. The facility has been closed for nearly six months because of the pandemic.
They're counting all the coins and will reveal the dollar amount later this week.
It's not an easy process or a quick one either, but we're sending them our best wishes...
