Aubrey Plaza is speaking out following the tragic death of her husband, Jeff Baena.

In a statement to Page Six, along with Baena's family, Plaza shared, "This is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time."

According to reports, Baena was discovered dead by an assistant, and law enforcement ruled his death a suicide.

Plaza skipped this past weekend's Golden Globe Awards, but received condolences from director Brady Corbet, who won Best Director for The Brutalist. In his speech, he wanted to remember three people he lost while making the film, which took seven years, including his grandfather and great uncle, but also added, "finally, tonight my heart is with Aubrey Plaza and Jeff's family."

Aubrey and Jeff met in 2011 and tied the knot a decade later on their tenth anniversary in their backyard. The White Lotus actress told Ellen DeGeneres of their marriage, which happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, "It was our 10-year anniversary. We were in the lockdown, as you know, things got a little crazy, especially in my house." She added, "I just said, 'Hey it's our 10-year anniversary. We should do something, get an ice cream cone and do something special.' And then I joked about getting married and he's like, 'Well, we probably couldn't get married that fast.' And I said, 'Well, wouldn't it be nice to get married on our actual anniversary?'"
