LOCAL EVENTS:
34th Annual INTERSTATE MULLET TOSS & GULF COAST’S GREATEST BEACH PARTY- Fri-Sun, Flora-Bama Lounge, Perdido Key
The main event consists of folks throwing a mullet, out of a 10-foot circle, from Perdido Key, Florida towards Orange Beach, Alabama. Toss begins at noon Friday and 10am Saturday/Sunday, with celebrity tossers at noon each day. A portion of toss proceeds benefits the Community Drug & Alcohol Council, Inc., Youth Reach Gulf Coast, & local Boys & Girls Clubs on both sides of the line. Music will continue throughout the weekend including the “Big Earl Show”, Foxy Iguanas, Johnny Barbato Trio, River Dan Band, Oliver’s Twist, Jo Jo Pres, Whyte Caps, Anthony Orio, Mario Mena Band, and Ja Rhythm. The Gulf Coast Exploreum, in conjunction with the Autism Society of Alabama, invites you to a Sensory Friendly Experience in the new exhibit, Permian Monsters: Life Before The Dinosaurs and IMAX film Galapagos.
