LOCAL EVENTS:

34th Annual INTERSTATE MULLET TOSS & GULF COAST’S GREATEST BEACH PARTY- Fri-Sun, Flora-Bama Lounge, Perdido Key

The main event consists of folks throwing a mullet, out of a 10-foot circle, from Perdido Key, Florida towards Orange Beach, Alabama.  Toss begins at noon Friday and 10am Saturday/Sunday, with celebrity tossers at noon each day. A portion of toss proceeds benefits the Community Drug & Alcohol Council, Inc., Youth Reach Gulf Coast, & local Boys & Girls Clubs on both sides of the line. Music will continue throughout the weekend including the “Big Earl Show”, Foxy Iguanas, Johnny Barbato Trio, River Dan Band, Oliver’s Twist, Jo Jo Pres, Whyte Caps, Anthony Orio, Mario Mena Band, and Ja Rhythm.  There’s also a Miss Mullet Toss bikini contest.  CLICK HERE

SENSORY FRIENDLY EXPLOREUM EXPERIENCE- Sun 11am-1pm, Gulf Coast Exploreum, downtown Mobile

The Gulf Coast Exploreum, in conjunction with the Autism Society of Alabama, invites you to a Sensory Friendly Experience in the new exhibit, Permian Monsters: Life Before The Dinosaurs and IMAX film Galapagos. (During this event, the exhibit of Permian Monsters will have all of the sound and animatronics turned OFF. The sound and lighting will also be adjusted for the IMAX film.) CLICK HERE

COPS & KIDS SPRING FESTIVALSat 10am-2pm, Ashton Brosnaham Park, Pensacola

Sheriff David Morgan and the ECSO’s School Resource Officers invite parents, guardians, and kids to a FREE picnic with hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and drink along with games and prizes. There will be demonstrations from our K-9, SWAT, and Escambia County Mounted Posse Units.  CLICK HERE  


WIGGLE WAGGLE RESCUE RUNSat 8am, Bellingrath Gardens

There’s a certified 5K run for humans only starting at 8:00 AM or a 1 mile fun run / walk for dog owners and their pups, which will begin at 9:00 AM. Both races will benefit the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF).  CLICK HERE   


PAWS ON PALAFOX- Sat 10am-2pm, Plaza de Luna, downtown Pensacola

Hundreds of animal lovers will take to the streets for a family friendly 3K dog walk to support the Barbara Grice Memorial Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic at the Pensacola Humane Society. Stay after the walk for a party of epic proportions.  CLICK HERE
