****POSTPONED*****MLK DAY OF SERVICE- Sat 8:30am-11:30am, 3 locations (see below)

Due to strong thunderstorms expected on Saturday, the MLK Day of Service has been postponed until February 2

Join Mobile United's Natural Resources Committee, along with Mobile Baykeeper, Alabama Coastal Foundation, and Dog River Clear Water Revival for a day of service. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. with special guest speakers, cleanup from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with lunch concluding the event from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  There will be three different cleanup locations this year: Three Mile Creek, One Mile Creek, and Eslava Creek Canal  CLICK HERE    


DR MARTIN LUTHER KING JR PARADEMon 11am, downtown Pensacola

This year is the 32nd anniversary of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Parade. The 2019 theme is “Work for the Dream: Pray, Vote, Volunteer.”  CLICK HERE    


****MOVED INDOORS**** PORT CITY SECOND LINE FESTIVAL- Sat  4:40pm-5:10pm, Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que, Dauphin Street, downtown Mobile

Due to the Inclement Weather this Saturday, the Port City Secondline Festival has been moved to MOE’s Downtown.  There will be nine brass bands on stage playing Mardi Gras music--Secondline Society Brass Band, Eterniti, Jukebox Brass Band, Multi-N-Funk Band, Blow House Brass Band, Kelzhaunne, Yeah Probably, Yo Jonesy & the Crowned Jewelz, Outlawz Brass Band.  CLICK HERE   


TRAXXAS MONSTER TRUCK TOUR- Sat 7:30pm, Mobile Civic Center

***POSTPONED****MPD 4th Annual CHILI COOK-OFF - Cathedral Square, downtown Mobile

***Due to inclement weather expected Saturday, Jan. 19 (the original event date), the MPD Chili Cook-Off was postponed to Saturday, April 13.***

The public is invited to taste the best chili in the city – cooked by Mobile police officers!  Teams of police officers will compete against each other with their best chili recipes.  Proceeds benefit the Mobile Law Enforcement Foundation and MPD Crime Prevention Unit.   CLICK HERE    


GALLERY NIGHT PENSACOLA: LUNAR NEW YEAR- Fri 5pm-11pm, various venues, downtown Pensacola
