AZALEA TRAIL RUN- Sat 8am- 10K; 8:15am- 5K; 9:30am- 2K, downtown Mobile

Mobile's Azalea Trail Run will celebrate 44 years of running the streets of Mobile at its blooming best - join us! The Azalea Trail Run offers USATF certified 10K and 5K race courses, plus a 2K Fun Run/Walk. All races start and finish in downtown MobileCLICK HERE  

ELBERTA GERMAN SAUSAGE FESTIVAL- Sat 8am-5pm, Elberta Town Park, Hwy 98

The sausage festival is a town fund-raiser, spearheaded by Elberta's Volunteer Fire Department. The festival has over 200 arts and crafts booths, live music (polka, country, contemporary and German music), carnival rides, and they cook up approx. 6,000 lbs of Elberta German Sausage per festival.  CLICK HERE

DOWNTOWN CAJUN COOK-OFF - Sat 10am-2pm, Cathedral Square, downtown Mobile

Teams from some of the area’s best local restaurants and businesses will be cooking up your favorite Cajun dishes. You can sample as many as you want and vote for your favorites. There will also be live music and other activities. This event is a major fundraiser for the Child Advocacy Center, which coordinates services for children who have been abused.  CLICK HERE  

DAUPHIN ISLAND NATIVE AMERICAN FESTIVAL- Sat 9am-5pm, Dauphin Island Indian Shell Mound Park, #2 Iberville Drive

Celebrate the Native American heritage of Dauphin Island and surrounding areas dating back to 1100 AD! Experience "of the period" hands-on demonstrations of Native American arts and crafts such as pottery, weaving, and canoe carving. Living historians and storytellers will exhibit 18th and 19th century Creek hunting camps and tell fascinating stories about Native Americans and the French who made port on Dauphin Island in 1699. The Festival will be a fun and educational experience for the entire family! Food and traditional arts and crafts will be available for purchase. CLICK HERE  

ST PAWTY’S DAY- Sat 1pm- 4:30pm, OWA, Foley

This is a family-friendly event featuring music, dog adoptions, a dog kissing photo booth, pet parade, and costume contest located on the OWA Island! CLICK HERE   

 

AUBREIGH’S ARMY LEMON FACE GALA - Sat 6:30pm, MacQueen Alumni Center on the University of South Alabama Campus

Aubreigh Nicholas was a brave and fierce fighter during her 11-month battle with DIPG – the deadliest form of brain cancer. During her fight, Aubreigh’s spirit shined, and she started the Lemon Face Challenge, which went viral all over the world. March 28th would have been her 15th Birthday. Let’s celebrate Aubreigh at this wonderful event and keep her legacy going. This group will keep fighting and continue to fund research for DIPG. They’ve joined the DIPG Collaborative, a national organization of foundations to come together to find treatment, and ultimately a cure for DIPG.  CLICK HERE
