Lemonade Day teaches 3rd - 6th Graders how to start, own, and operate their very own business, a lemonade stand! Kids learn about creating their own success when they learn to set a goal, make a plan, work the plan, and achieve their dreams. Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra's annual Mother's Day Concert will move this year to the amphitheater at Medal of Honor Park in West Mobile. Please join us as we celebrate Mother's Day with an evening of music and scenic beauty. Bring a picnic, blankets or folding chairs. No seating and no shade provided. Sailing enthusiasts and friends are invited to enjoy a fun and safe day of sailboat racing, benefitting patients from the Alabama Gulf Coast treated at Children’s of Alabama.. A family-friendly event, guests are invited to watch the races free-of-charge beginning at 12:30 p.m. Throughout the afternoon, guests can bid on silent auction items, enjoy the kids’ activity area, a cash bar and live music from Doc Rodgers and the Rock Dodgers band. The community is invited to come celebrate the history of the Semmes community, its culture, and way of life from the early 1900’s. Admission is FREE. There will be a variety of entertainment including music and dancing, Camellia Maid appearances, plus tours of the 1902 historic Semmes School, the Malone Chapel, the log cabin, the historic replica gazebo, and new to the park, a period General Store.
