LIGHTING OF THE MARDI GRAS TREE- Sat 5:30pm-6:30pm, Mardi Gras Park, Downtown Mobile

Let the Good Times Roll with some festive Mardi Gras music from "The Juke Box Brass Band" as the City of Mobile lights the Mardi Gras Tree to Celebrate the Season! Bring a chair or blanket and your favorite snacks and beverages for the concert. CLICK HERE   

PENSACOLA MARDI GRAS KICK OFF CELEBRATION- Sat 5pm-11pm, Seville Quarter, Downtown Pensacola

Kick off the 2024 Mardi Gras Season in style with the introduction of Pensacola Mardi Gras royalty and a secondline parade from inside Seville Quarter to the street, where floats will be lined up for the annual blessing. Plus king cake and a party to celebrate the Epiphany. MARDI GRAS KICKOFF AT BRAIDED RIVER- Fri AND Sat 4pm-8pm, Braided River Brewing, 420 St Louis St, Downtown Mobile

UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, the concert has been moved to SATURDAY, JANUARY 6th and we’re splitting this event up into TWO GREAT NIGHTS of MARDI GRAS KICKOFF!

Kick off the Carnival season with a Twelfth Night party hosted by Braided River Brewing Co.! The inaugural bash will feature a ribbon-cutting by Chief Slacabamarinico and a countdown to the RSA Tower being lit up in purple, signaling the consumption of king cakes can commence. The twelfth night bash is free to attend and will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Gulf Coast and they will receive a portion of proceeds from the evening. CLICK HERE   

BLACK JACKET SYMPHONY presents JOURNEY’S ESCAPE- Sat 8pm, Pensacola Saenger Theatre

The Black Jacket Symphony recreates Journey’s iconic album Escape live in its entirety—note for note, sound for sound—plus a full set of Journey’s greatest hits. CLICK HERE   

EDDIE B- TEACHERS ONLY COMEDY TOUR- Sat 8pm, Mobile Saenger Theatre

FREE FIRST SUNDAY at HISTORY MUSEUM OF MOBILE- Sun 1pm-5pm, History Museum of Mobile, Downtown Mobile

Visit any time from 1 - 5 p.m. and enjoy free admission into the History Museum of Mobile and Colonial Fort Conde. On display now:"Hubble Space Telescope: New Views from the Universe," and "A History of Mobile in 22 Objects."
