Panic Attack? Or COVID-19?

When all this started, it was really helpful to see a graphic from UAB sorting out the symptoms of a cold, allergies, the flu and Coronavirus. Especially since this hit during the height of pollen season, and people were nervous whenever someone sneezed or had the sniffles.

But panic attacks ALSO share some symptoms of Coronavirus, and the National Institute of Mental Health is helping people who suffer from panic attacks to be able to recognize the difference.

For one thing, a panic attack is short-lived... symptoms usually subside in about half an hour. With Coronavirus, the symptoms are persistent... fever and cough, as well as trouble breathing.

And we all know that this is an extremely stressful situation. The CDC is offering some ways to help us cope with the stress.
