No Screaming on the Roller Coasters? Is That Possible?

Imagine being told to stay quiet at the Happiest Place on Earth -- not even screaming on roller coasters.

Those are the new guidelines for Tokyo Disneyland and other amusement parks slowly reopening in Japan.

Guests are urged to “refrain from vocalizing loudly” on thrill rides, haunted houses or during character shows.

And we understand why... research shows that respiratory droplets can travel farther than 6 feet when singing, shouting, or talking loudly.

But understanding the WHY doesn't help us figure out the HOW. How can you ride a thrill ride without screaming and yelling? Or at least laughing? Is that even possible?

Other safety steps to avoid spreading coronavirus include mandatory masks and temperature checks.
