The updated forecast from Colorado State University still calls for a very active season, but they've upped the number of named storms to 20.
The original forecast called for 13 to 19 named storms.
Of course, when you have 2 named storms before the season even starts... and a third during the first week of the season.... oh, and the earliest ever 5th named storm, what can you expect?
And that forecast of 20 storms includes the 5 we've already had.
Again, it bears repeating any time we look at one of these forecasts, it only takes ONE to make it a bad season... so we all need to be prepared for whatever may come our way.
