A pub in Cornwall, England has installed an electric fence in front of the bar inside to keep people a safe distance from the bartenders.
Jonny McFadden runs the Star Inn in rural St. Just, Cornwall and wanted to put a barrier in front of the bar to prevent customers from over crowding. The electric fencing is hung from two pillars a few feet in front of the bar with a sign that reads "electric, danger."
McFadden says the fence is not turned on, but it serves as a fearful reminder to keep social distancing.
(Ok, he said it's "usually" turned off....but can be turned on, so you just don't know, do ya?)
Bars in England have been allowed to reopen since July 4th, and at least three pubs have had to shut down again because of outbreaks.
