The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Slaps Back At Twitter Haters

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is clapping back at haters on Twitter. As the tree was being hoisted into place, many tweets said it looked pathetic, even comparing it to the weak sapling from "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

The tree, which tweets under the Rockefeller Center account, was in no mood for social media trolls. It said, "Wow, you all must look great right after a two-day drive, huh? Just wait until I get my lights on!"

The tree lighting ceremony is December 2nd.

Oh, and apparently there was a stowaway in the tree. A Saw-whet owl was discovered in the tree and is believed to have traveled with the Norway Spruce. The bird is alive but wildlife officials say the owl looked to have not eaten for three days. The good news is that the owl is recovering and was fittingly named "Rockefeller."
