A puppy is safe after his owner pulled him from an alligator's jaw.
Surveillance cam filmed a Florida man in the water wrestling with a small alligator that has his three-month-old puppy in its jaws. He's able to get the dog free, and it only has a small puncture wound. The man's hands were chewed up, but he's okay.
Richard Wilbanks told WBBH he was sitting outside his Florida home when he saw a small alligator dragging his puppy into his backyard pond.
The 74-year-old said instinct and adrenaline helped him leap into the water to wrestle the alligator in order to get his puppy Gunner back.
Note as you're watching the video... he saved the puppy and never dropped his cigar.
The alligator was also removed from Wilbanks' backyard.
