Saban's Out For The Iron Bowl Due To COVID-19

Last time, it was determined to be a false positive. This time, he's experiencing mild symptoms and will be out for the Iron Bowl

A statement was issued by the University's Dr Jimmy Robinson and Jeff Allen:

"This morning we received notification that Coach Saban tested positive for COVID-19. He has very mild symptoms, so this test will not be categorized as a potential false positive. He will follow all appropriate guidelines and isolate at home."

The 69-year-old must isolate for at least ten days, meaning he will miss Saturday's Iron Bowl showdown with rival Auburn.

An interim coach has been used in the Iron Bowl before... back in 1998 when Terry Bowden exited midseason. Steve Sarkisian will take over head coaching duties in Saban's absence.
