There's a strong chance of falling iguanas in the Christmas Day weather forecast for South Florida, and that's not just a figure of speech.
Morning lows are expected to fall into the 30- to 40-degree range starting Friday and into the weekend. When temperatures get that low, iguanas' cold-blooded bodies go dormant and, if the lizards are sleeping in trees, they fall.
The best advice for people taking morning walks in South Florida this weekend? Stay away from the trees.
