41 ABC Stores Closing Saturday in Alabama Due To COVID-19

The Alabama ABC Board is closing 41 stores this weekend, due to COVID-19. The problem isn't sales; alcohol consumption has increased during the pandemic.

The problem is staffing. So after Saturday, 41 stores are closing until late February or early March. The people who work there will be reassigned to other stores.

Six of the stores that are closing are in our area:

• Mobile, 5220 Cottage Hill Road
• Mobile, 2852 Dauphin Island Parkway
• Eight Mile, 4745 Saint Stephens Road
• Citronelle, 19375 North Third Street
• Spanish Fort, 6729 Spanish Fort Boulevard, Unit E
• Robertsdale, 18440 Lillian Drive, Suite A
